Overview

My background as a leading-edge technologist, business model innovator, and exponential growth strategist has always kept me focused on the future. However, it wasn’t until 2017 that I began to formalize my work as a futurist. I felt the need to try and make sense of the increasing chaos around us and wanted to be more intentional about where I direct my time, energy, and resources.

This initial goal has evolved—beyond simply anticipating the future and positioning myself accordingly—to deeply understanding the core challenges facing the U.S. and the world, and identifying the key levers we can all pull to drive outsized progress in solving them.

This page is the central hub for all my Future Map work, featuring my latest published documents—observations, forward-looking predictions, and actionable plans for where we’re headed in the coming decades.

Future Map Activities

1. Start future-proofing yourself, your family, your career and skills, and your company immediately with the material that I openly publish below.  I publish everything in Google docs, which I embed on this page and provide links to open the documents in their own tab.  The Future Map directory outlines each document with key sections. Bonus Tip: Download my documents and feed them into an AI language model like ChatGPT. Then, ask the AI how you can best position yourself for the future based on the insights in what I’ve written. Be sure to give the AI as much context about yourself as possible—your skills, interests, passions, talents, career history, personal situation, income, debt, and any challenges you’re facing. The more it knows, the better it can help you.
